What is Lit Treat?

Lit Treat is a monthly literary and confectionery subscription service. Each box contains:  a new young adult book published up to two months prior to delivery (eg. a book delivered in March will be picked among prior releases up to January), one to three confectionery products, one to two other bookish items. The number of products may vary each month.

Do you announce the contents ahead of time?

No, we believe that half the fun comes from being surprised.


How much does a subscription cost?

That depends on your preferred plan. Month-to-month plans are S$50.00 plus shipping per month, and are renewed each month. 3-month plans are S$49.50 plus shipping per month, and are renewed quarterly. You pay a lump sum for every 3 months. 6-month plans are S$49.00 plus shipping per month, and are renewed half-yearly. You pay a lump sum for every 6 months.

What is the shipping fee?

The shipping fee is S$5.00 per box.

Where do the confectionery products originate from?

Most of our confectionery products are sourced and imported from Europe. Occasionally we may include confectionery from other regions.

Are the confectionery products halal?

We don't specifically source for halal-certified products, although we try to avoid picking products that contain pork gelatine or alcohol.

Do the confectionery products contain nuts?

Yes, some contain nuts. Several that don't list nuts in the ingredients might still contain traces.

What types of books can I expect?

Books are predominantly in paperback format. However, not all new publications are available in paperback, so if we pick affected titles, books may be in hardcover format. We pick titles targeted at young adult readers. Genres vary from month to month, encompassing contemporary fiction, fantasy, sci-fi, historical fiction, etc.

What if I already own the book?

We only send books that have been published within the last 2 months before delivery, to reduce the chances of you ending up with duplicates. Unfortunately, if you happen to already own the book, we can't accept returns. We encourage you to share the joy of reading and gift the book to a family member or a friend.


An item was missing or damaged. What do I do?

Contact us via email, and we will follow up with you.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

All sales are final. This means that we cannot accept returns. Our box quantities are limited, so we are unable to provide exchanges for products.

How can I cancel my subscription?

Please log into your account and click the "edit" button under your subscription(s). You will be able to change your subscription for the next renewal, or cancel your subscription. Cancellation applies from your next renewal date onwards.

Can I get a partial refund if I cancel my 3-month or 6-month subscription early?

Subscriptions cannot be terminated early. You may cancel your subscription anytime. Cancellation applies from your next renewal date onwards.


Can I buy past boxes?

Yes, subject to stock availability. If we have boxes left after delivering to our subscribers, we make them available for one-time purchases. If you are interested in a specific past book or item, email us to enquire about stock availability.

Do you ship outside of Singapore?

Not at the moment. If you'd like us to consider shipping to your country, drop us an email.
